Before entering a new market, define the decision

17 October 2026 · Market entry

A promising market can still be the wrong next step. Before committing resources, define what you need to learn: which customer has the problem, who controls the budget and what would make an initial purchase possible.

Compare a small number of markets against the same criteria. Consider customer access, local competition, delivery requirements, partner capability and the cost of supporting early customers. For healthcare ventures, distinguish clinical interest from a workable purchasing pathway and identify the regulatory questions that need specialist advice.

Then set a practical first milestone: a customer interview programme, a qualified partner shortlist or a clearly scoped pilot. Agree what evidence would justify further investment—and what would make you pause. A market-entry plan becomes useful when it supports a specific decision.

A partnership starts with a shared commercial purpose

17 October 2026 · Partnerships

A strong introduction opens a conversation; a clear proposition gives it direction. Explain the customer opportunity, what each organisation contributes and how the collaboration could create value for both sides.

Before discussing a broad agreement, clarify the first activity. Who will identify customers? Who will lead delivery? What resources and decision-making authority are available? Define responsibilities, commercial assumptions and how progress will be reviewed.

Start with a bounded next step and a review date. A focused joint activity can reveal whether the relationship has the practical capacity to grow. Strategic fit matters, but so do ownership, follow-through and a realistic path to revenue.
